My journey in the optical industry began more than 30 years ago, and it has truly been a career built on passion, lifelong learning, and meaningful relationships. For much of that time, I have proudly called the Niagara region home, where I have had the privilege of helping generations of patients with their vision and eye care needs.
What I have always loved most about this profession isn’t just helping people see better—it’s the connections I’ve built along the way. There is no greater compliment than having patients return year after year, asking specifically for my care. Knowing that I have made a positive difference in someone’s life has been one of the greatest rewards of my career. After spending my first 10 years learning hands-on in the optical field, I completed the Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA) program. My passion for learning continued to grow, and I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside optometrists to help patients achieve their best possible vision. In 2024, I embarked on my next goal—earning my Optician’s Licence. I proudly completed this milestone in October 2025, giving me the confidence and inspiration to open Sight Studio.
